Description
Britain's Best Dish
Britain’s Best Dish is a daily cooking show on ITV where British cooks compete for the honor of coming up with the dish that would be regarded as the best dish in all of Britain, as well as £10,000. Originally, the show’s format involves amateur cooks that compete daily to whip up the best starter, main course and pudding for the regional heats and the winners would compete for the regional finals every end of the week. The judges, Ed Baines, John Burton Race and Jilly Goolden, would choose the best dish for the regional heats, while guest food critics choose the winning dishes. In the finals, the viewers have the power to vote for the “Britain’s Best Dish”. However, since the reformat of the show in season 6 last October 2011, only professional cooks were cast in the show. This time the show provides clips about the restaurants where the contestants work. It has been renamed as “Best Dish: The Chefs” and also has a new logo.
