Last year during the auspicious occasion of Basant Utsav "Chandragupta Maurya" has made its introduction and now after one year the show is all set to bring lots of turns and twists for their eager viewers.
Sooraj Thapar aka Dhananand of Imagine's Chandragupta Maurya recently shot a very challenging scene wherein he had to play not one, not two but five different roles in one frame. The scene was that of the five look alikes of King Dhananand who are in conversation with each other.
Lalit Negi who was last seen in "Ramayan" as Shatrugn will make his entry in Imagine's show Chandragupta Maurya. Lalit will play the role of Digvijay who is a childhood friend of Chandragupta.
Notorious character of King Dhananand is about to take adieu from Imagine's historical epic "Chandragupt Maurya". In coming days Dhananand will die while fighting with Chandragupt.

Chandragupta Maurya is a biographical saga. This would portray the life and times of the greatest emperor India has ever known. It would show the journey of how from being a regular slave, Chandragupta made himself as to becoming the king. He is the first king who got the herculean task of unifying under the umbrella of the Great Mauryan Empire. His conquest led to from Bengal and Assam in the east, to Afghanistan and Baluchistan in the west, to Kashmir and Nepal in the north, and to the Deccan Plateau in the south. Moreover, beside of making the audience taking down a trip to fantasyland, the tale of Chandragupta shows to inspire the youth into believing in them. The young should take challenges and learn from Chandragupta’s life to overcome problems.
