Description

Tsurupika Hagemaru or Hagemaru is a Japanese cartoon character created and illustrated by Shinbo Nomura. The series was published in the magazine CoroCoro comic from 1985 to 1995. The story tells the ideas of a kid named Hagemaru and his unique ideas of saving the money. The series was adopted by Shin-Ei Animation due to the popularity of its cartoon character. The show was directed by Hiroshi Sasagawa and it went on to run from 1988 to 1989 with a total of 58 episodes. The show became a huge hit and due to its popularity a game was also created for family computers. In the TV series, Hagemaru and his family are mere misers and will do anything to save the money. The story basically revolves around his teachers and friends while he goes to school. Show has recently been adopted by Pogo TV in India and by Astro Ceria in Malaysi. Hagemaru is a small kid, studying in fourth grade, who lives in Japan with his parents. His parents are frugal, and save their money by all means. Their miserliness is depicted in many episodes of the show. Hagemaru has a pet dog, Pesu comments on the family’s miserliness since he gets very little to eat. Hagemaru show is really enjoyed by everyone due to Hagemaru’s eccentric family.
