Description
The format of the show is different to that of the original Masterchef Britain and Masterchef goes large. It is an Indian competitive cooking game show. The production is done by FreeMantleMedia. Masterchef India 1 airs on Star Plus channel. The judges featured on the show are Akshay Kumar, Chef Vikas Khanna, Chef Ajay Chopra and chef Kunal Kapoor. The first season of the show was actor Akshay Kumar. The show was aired on every Saturday and Sunday on the Star Plus channel. Akshay Kumar himself has worked as a chef in Bangkok and he has some experience in the field. The auditions showed many potential contestants auditioning, presenting different dishes that they have prepared in front of the three judges. The contestants were all over 18 years old.
